Comprehensive Outpatient Interventional Radiology In Jacksonville
Our practice offers patients non-surgical alternatives to treat many conditions such as spinal compression fractures, symptomatic uterine fibroids, chronic pelvic pain from incompetent abdominal/pelvic veins, and narowed or blocked arteries causing lifestyle limiting claudication and/or chronic wounds. The minimally invasive techniques we use offer similar or better outcomes to surgery with a much shorter and less painful recovery. One or our skilled physicians will perform an in-depth consultation with you to decide on the best management in order to meet your needs.

Peripheral Arterial Disease · Claudication, rest pain and/or chronic wounds can be improved or eliminated using modern endovascular techniques · Balloon angioplasty, stent placement and athrectomy can delay or prevent surgical bypass in many patients · Patients are followed longitudinally with clinical exams and imaging to help manage their disease and limit progression
Post Thrombotic Syndrome · Persistent pain, swelling and heaviness can occur following DVT in up to 50% of patients · DVT can cause scarring and or narrowing in the vein resulting in chronic symptoms · Intravascular ultrasound and venography are used to identify the scarred vein · Normal caliber is restored using balloon angioplasty and/or stent placement
Spinal Compression Fracture · Minimally invasive treatment for painful spinal compression fractures · Alternative to prolonged bed rest/immobilization and/or narcotic pain management · Fracture fragments are stabilized by cement injected into the fractured vertebra · Pain relief is almost immediate
Uterine Fibroid Embolization · Minimally invasive treatment for symptomatic fibroids · Alternative to surgical treatment such as hysterectomy and/or myomectomy · Much less painful and faster recovery time compared to surgery; approximately 1 week · Performed under moderate sedation via artery in the wrist or hip · Procedure takes about 1 hour, patient goes home the same day
Pelvic Congestion Syndrome · Incompetent abdominal/pelvic veins can cause chronic pain and bloating in women · The abnormal veins are blocked with coils/sclerosant to eliminate symptoms · Performed under moderate sedation via a vein in the neck or hip · Procedure takes about 1 hour, patient goes home the same day

I had my first procedure today. The nurse explained everything that was going to happen during my appt. today and on my follow-up next visit. I was very comfortable.with staff and Dr. St. George. He made my experience as easy as could possibly have been. Im recommending him to family and friends. While you are there check out cosmetic (botox ,fillers) dept. That was also an exceptionally good experience

This is one place I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone! The staff is just absolutely amazing and so kind. They truly take the time to get to know you on a personal level and not just a number like most Doctor Offices. The Doctor is very knowledgeable and great with Patients, along with all the providers. This is one Office that I cannot say one bad thing about and if anyone needs any of their vein needs taken care of.....St. Johns Vein Center is the place to go!! Also, check out their cosmetics......they do great work and I for one will be going back for my cosmetic needs!! St. Johns Vein Center is the number one office in Northeast Florida!!!
